EUROSORB ALGINATE<br />
Eurosorb is a soft and highly absorbent dressing made of calcium<br />
alginate fibres and Carboxymethy cellulose (CMC). In contact<br />
with wound exudate, Eurosorb forms a biocompatible gel. The<br />
gel assists in maintaining a physiologically moist environment<br />
that promotes the healing process and the growth of granulation<br />
tissue.<br />
Features:<br />
• Highly absorbent - Eurosorb can absorb exudate up to 15<br />
times its own weight. The dressings can remain in situ up to 7<br />
days, depending on wound condition and level of exudate<br />
• Easy to remove - Eurosorb is an integral alginate absorbing<br />
exudae between and within the fibres. The advantage is that<br />
it can be removed in one piece, and the structure of Eurosorb<br />
reduces to the minimum the risk of release of alginate fibres into<br />
the wound<br />
• Moist wound environment - The gel, which is formed as<br />
Eurosorb absorbs excessive amounts of exudate and donates<br />
calcium to the wound surface, creates a moist covering on the<br />
wound<br />
