Silvermed is a dressing combining the advanced moist<br />
wound healing technologies with silver. The healing process<br />
of Silvermed arise from the modifications that silver ions<br />
determine on the proteins of bacterial cells. These alterations<br />
allow the rapid lyses of pathogens and speed up the wound<br />
process healing leading to shorter hospital stays and relevant<br />

Features:<br />
· Silvermed acts as antibacterial - the silver is hydro-activated in<br />
a controlled manner by the exudates. Silver ions are released in<br />
accordance to the level of exudates and of bacterial burden of<br />
the wound<br />
· Creates the moist wound environment - ideal for fast healing<br />
· Provides an effective barrier to bacterial penetration -<br />
preventing infections on wound site.<br />
· Does not adhere on the wound - dressing changes are<br />

Contra-indications: do not use on patients with a known<br />
sensitivity to silver and on patients undergoing Magnetic<br />
