These guidelines are based on rice research conducted by research personnel of the<br />
<strong>Texas</strong> Agricultural Experiment St<strong>at</strong>ion, <strong>Texas</strong> Cooper<strong>at</strong>ive Extension and United St<strong>at</strong>es Department<br />
of Agriculture–Agricultural <strong>Research</strong> Service <strong>at</strong> the <strong>Texas</strong> A&M University Agricultural <strong>Research</strong><br />
and Extension <strong>Center</strong> <strong>at</strong> <strong>Beaumont</strong> and Eagle Lake. This cooper<strong>at</strong>ive public<strong>at</strong>ion, with distribution<br />
by County Extension Agents–Agriculture, was undertaken to provide <strong>Texas</strong> rice farmers and landowners<br />
with the l<strong>at</strong>est production and economic inform<strong>at</strong>ion for the <strong>2007</strong> rice crop.<br />
