INTERIOR ROOF LAMPS HANDLING HANDLING CIGARETTE LIGHTER, ASH TRAY & DIGITAL CLOCK Interior Roof lamps Two interior roof lamps are provided in your vehicle. The roof lamps have three positions ON, OFF and DOOR. When the switch is in DOOR position, the lamp will glow as soon as door is opened and stops glowing after door is closed. 1. Lamp off 2. Door control mode 3. Lamp on Since the leveling switch takes care of focus patern under different load conditions; it is advisable to select the correct position before starting a trip (depending on load) Cigarette Lighter and Ash Tray : 3 Instrument Panel Light Brightness Control : (If installed) The brightness of instrument panel and A/C control panel back lights can be controlled by the thumb operated rotary knob which is located on the dashboard as shown in the picture. Headlamp Leveling Switch ( If fitted) A motorised headlamp leveling arrangement with the setting kno at the RH side of dash board. As and when required headlamp leveling setting is done by roatating the knob to select one of the level marked in theswitch depending upon the loading of vehicle. O- OFF I - Door II - ON With ignition switch in ‘ACC’ position, press the cigarette lighter fully in. When heated to specified temperature it pops out. Take the lighter out and light your cigarette. After use place the lighter in its position. Do not insert any other part or accessory in the cigarette lighter slot. It may damage cigarette lighter. Ash tray is provided on the console. Headlamp leveling switch 2 Digital Clock : A digital clock is provided in the centre console of the dash board. It displays the time when the steering lock is unlocked (i.e. the key is inside the ignition lock and in the ‘ACC’ position) Three push buttons ‘H’, ’M’ and ‘Z’ are provided for setting the time and for resetting the display to zero. ‘H’ for hour setting, ‘M’ for minute setting and ‘Z’ for resetting minutes to zero. ENGINE COMPARTMENT LAMP & BONNET OPENING / CLOSING Engine compartment light To operate engine compartment light pull switch (2). Bonnet opening and closing : To open pull lever (1). This will release the bonnet lock. To open fully, lift the additional lock lever located on the bonnet centre with the help of finger. Use the bonnet stay rod to keep the bonnet open. For closing the bonnet, disengage the stay rod, clamp it properly and press down the bonnet till it is fully shut. Ensure that the bonnet is fully locked before driving off. In case of failure of cable attached to lever (1) bonnet lock can be opened by inserting a screw driver from the top centre position of grill through a slot provided behind it on the sheet metal and by pressing the lock plate towards your left. Push upward the additional lock lever at your right and lift the bonnet while the lock plate is kept pressed with the help of screw driver. 1 HANDLING 1.Engine Compartment Light 2. Engine Compartment Light Switch 2 HANDLING Mechanically remote operated fuel lid (if fitted) The fuel flap is located on the right rear side of the vehicle. This can be operated by pulling the lever located on the right side of driver seat and can be locked by simply closing the flap. Gear shift lever The different gear positions are marked on the knob. The 5 th gear (an overdrive) has been provided to obtain better fuel economy while driving on highways.
