CLASS REGISTRATION<br />

How do I register for classes?<br />

Freshmen receive early priority<br />

registration for all of their units on<br />

their orientation date. Transfer students<br />

receive early priority registration for<br />

a maximum of 8 units at orientation.<br />

The earlier you attend orientation, the<br />

better choice of classes you will have.<br />

How do transfers register<br />

for additional units?<br />

Transfers may add additional units<br />

during your Final Priority Registration<br />

time in August. View your registration<br />

date/time by logging in<strong>to</strong> the<br />

SF <strong>State</strong> Gateway (gateway.sfsu.<br />

edu), then navigate <strong>to</strong> "Schedule/<br />

Classes" under "Student."<br />

How do I find out what<br />

How do I pay Tuition Fees?<br />

Tuition Fees must be paid in full<br />

before you can register for classes at<br />

orientation, unless you have a Financial<br />

Aid deferment. Complete fee payment<br />

information is available at the Bursar’s<br />

Office online at: www.sfsu.edu/~bursar<br />

ENROLLMENT DEPOSIT<br />

What is the enrollment deposit?<br />

Freshman and transfer students must<br />

pay a non-refundable enrollment<br />

deposit of $100 when they accept their<br />

admission offer. The deposit is required<br />

<strong>to</strong> reserve a space at SF <strong>State</strong>. The<br />

admission acceptance and enrollment<br />

deposit must be received by May 1.<br />

The deposit will offset a portion of your<br />

Tuition Fees for the first semester. This<br />

is a one-time payment required only<br />

during the first semester of admission.<br />

Can the enrollment deposit<br />

be waived?<br />

The enrollment confirmation deposit will<br />

be waived for students receiving state<br />

or federal need-based grants. <strong>You</strong>r New<br />

Student Requirements Checklist will<br />

indicate if you qualify for the waiver.<br />
