This report on Farmer Study Groups in Africa is a synthesis report of two
sub-sub-regional reports, one for Eastern and Southern Africa prepared by
Davison Masendeke and a second for Central and West Africa prepared by
Femke Gordijn. I am grateful to Femke and Dave for their hard work during a
difficult period to acquire information. During information collection many
persons contacted were out of the office.
Making an inventory study about West en Central Africa could not have done
without the help of people that work in this region and/or have experience in
