Perspective<br />

COL Ronan Ellis is an ROTC graduate <strong>and</strong><br />

entered the Army in 1961 in the field<br />

artillery. He spent most of his career<br />

except for the last four years in the artillery<br />

business comm<strong>and</strong>ing artillery batteries, battalion,<br />

<strong>and</strong> brigade, in Korea, Vietnam <strong>and</strong> Germany. In the<br />

latter part of his career he was selected to be the<br />

first Comm<strong>and</strong>ant of the Army <strong>Space</strong> Institute <strong>and</strong><br />

eventually the second comm<strong>and</strong>er of U.S. Army<br />

<strong>Space</strong> Comm<strong>and</strong>.<br />
