Description
Branched and linear alkylbenzenes. Branched alkylbenzene (BAB) is produced by
reacting benzene with various propylene oligomers to produce different molecular
weights. Linear alkylbenzene (LAB) is produced by reacting benzene with linear alpha
olefins producing a range of different molecular weight products.
Advantages
Superior low temperature properties, excellent oxidative and thermal stability, compatible
with elastomers, seal swell and improved solubility.
End Uses
Raw materials for surfactants and synthetic sulfonates and base oil for specialty lubricants
and functional fluids. Used in agriculture and electronic components and equipment.
