The first so called pilot training course was launched in 2008. It<br />
started on 14 th May with the first three-day session. Following sessions<br />
<strong>to</strong>ok place on 11 th June, 29 th September and 10 th Oc<strong>to</strong>ber. The<br />
last session which included presentations of energy saving concepts<br />
and the final exam was organized on 9 th December 2008 and<br />
lasted one day only.<br />
Al<strong>to</strong>gether 11 participants attended the course. All of them have<br />
successfully completed it and have been awarded the European<br />
Energy Manager Certificate.<br />

► In periods between the sessions constant contact with the participants<br />
was maintained through e-mails, telephone and the Internet<br />
platform.<br />
► After each session an evaluation was performed based on the<br />
input given by the participants through filling in the questionnaires.<br />
All necessary changes have been introduced <strong>to</strong> meet the needs and<br />
the expectations of the participants.<br />
► All sessions <strong>to</strong>ok place at KAPE Energy Conservation Technology<br />
Centre located at the Warsaw University of Technology in<br />
Warsaw.<br />
► The EUREM trainer team consisted of 24 trainers representing<br />
academic teachers, industrial engineers and independent consultants.<br />
► All eleven trainees attended all 5 sessions, no absence was registered.<br />
All energy concepts are feasible. They have been developed in close<br />
cooperation with the plant management therefore the prospects of<br />
their implementation are from mo<strong>der</strong>ate <strong>to</strong> high.<br />
Below are the selected energy concepts. They have been selected <strong>to</strong><br />
illustrate a typical energy efficien<br />
► The EUREM Internet platform which was developed and launched<br />
by SHW Networks company includes the Polish country portal<br />
where all necessary information regarding the course is presented.<br />
After logging in access <strong>to</strong> training materials is provided with a<br />
possibility <strong>to</strong> request more related materials. The platform is also a<br />
forum <strong>to</strong> exchange knowledge on energy efficiency.<br />
► Final presentation of elaborated energy saving concepts <strong>to</strong>ok<br />
place on 9 th December 2008 in front of the jury of experts.<br />
► The European Energy Manager Certificates have been awarded<br />
and sent by registered post <strong>to</strong> the addresses indicated by the participants<br />
All participants found the course very valuable. It broadened and<br />
systematized their knowledge on energy issues.<br />
Further EUREM training courses will take place in 2009 and the<br />
years <strong>to</strong> come!<br />
