3.9 Results <strong>of</strong> the Financial Feasibility <strong>of</strong> the Greywater Project
Based on the results <strong>of</strong> the NPV <strong>of</strong> the net benefits and the B/C ratios which are shown
in tables 7 and 8, the project is financially valid and the feasibility is proven. The results
show that the project will generate net pr<strong>of</strong>its along the functionality <strong>of</strong> the treatment
and irrigation activities <strong>of</strong> the greywater. Results show that the project is sensitive for
the life span and discount rates. With the life span <strong>of</strong> 10 years, the net present benefits
were elevated and were the B/C values. Same concept is applied in the case <strong>of</strong> discount
rates, where the project shows better financial results under the case <strong>of</strong> 3% discount
rate than the 5% discount rate.
For all the scenarios, the project is financially valid and the financial feasibility <strong>of</strong>
the project is proven as the case <strong>of</strong> the technical feasibility. In addition, the indirect
environmental benefits will add another success <strong>of</strong> promoting this system in the project
area and encourage decision makers in applying the same idea in other regions.
