Social activities<br />
The Students’ Union Advice and Information Centre (SUAIC)<br />
has organised an extensive social programme that runs from 25<br />
September to 1 October. See pages 15–16 for programme details.<br />
Venues<br />
Most <strong>of</strong> the induction academic and social activities will be held at<br />
the Highfi eld Campus, but students who will be studying mainly at<br />
the Avenue, Boldrewood and Winchester campuses will also have<br />
some activities at these sites.<br />
Winchester School <strong>of</strong> Art (WSA) students<br />
WSA students will stay at Erasmus Park accommodation in<br />
Winchester for the induction period. This must be pre-booked<br />
in advance.<br />
Transport will be provided for WSA students to enable them to<br />
participate in activities at the Highfield Campus in <strong>Southampton</strong>.<br />
Further details will be available from the Erasmus Park reception desk.<br />
English language and study support<br />
Information on the language and study support available to you<br />
will be provided during your Faculty induction session. In addition,<br />
some drop-in sessions are available in the Hartley Library on<br />
28 and 29 September. Staff will be there to <strong>of</strong>fer advice and<br />
help you register for courses.<br />
Welcome for partners<br />
Partners and children are invited to participate in activities<br />
organised by the <strong>International</strong> Women’s Club on Wednesday 27<br />
September, 10.30 – 12.00, in the Hartley Suite, Staff Social Centre,<br />
Building 38.<br />

attending are in the same situation and have the same questions and fears. It was great for students to have some<br />
time to get to know each other before starting classes and was a good way <strong>of</strong> easing into the lifestyle here.”<br />
