Researchers in the School of Engineering Sciences are working closely
with UK Sport to help British athletes reach their full potential in
events such as cycling and skeleton bob.
Head of Research and Innovation at UK Sport, Dr Scott Drawer, explains:
“Gold medals can be won or lost within fractions of seconds and our job is
to ensure the athletes are in the best possible position to take advantage
of those tiny margins. The knowledge and expertise that the University of
Southampton contributes is critical to our work.”
