The S-Series features a large, rugged worktable of 

cast iron and a double, high-precision band guide. 

This series was designed with variable cutting speed 

for demanding workshop applications. The BSH 450 

S/4 equipped with the right type of saw bands can 

handle nearly any type of material from wood to 

plastics, aluminium, NE-metals, steel or even stones. 

The model BSH 450/1 features one sole speed while 

BSH 450 S/4 offers 4 different speeds and double

This line of horizontal splitters was specially engineered 

to handle effortless otherwise heavy logs difficult to split 

in the conventional way (for example: oak, beach etc...). 

Heavy logs are loaded on the log carriage (a rugged 

H-beam) by simply rolling them up the lateral riffled 

plate. The log carriage design and the special hands-free 

controls allow splitting of the log without need for any 

manual adjustment. 

The special inline-construction makes for quick and fluent 

splitting of whole log bunches without any second person‘s 

help. Split wood splays out on ground where it can 

lay till end of work. On the contrary, loading and handling 

heavy logs on upright splitters can sometimes be a difficult 

and nasty work requiring a lot of efforts and eventually 

help by another person. 

Additionally, upright standing logs often need to beheld 

up by the operator leaning with his knees against the log. 

Processing heavy large logs on a standing splitter is a very 

dif-fi cult time rubbing work that always requires more than 

one person. Horizontal splitting brings you more in terms of

operations are therefore simply

hand«. The hydraulic chainsaw 

unit is equipped with a 400 mm 

long sword operated by the user 

all the way down through the 

timber. This type multifunctional

The electromagnetic SPS controls 

by Siemens are safely built

Three pulse generators use a 

magnetic field to control the system 

and drive the splitter ram 

back and forth or to stop it. 

A flipping plate is attached on 

the tilt-carriage of the saw unit 

to help directing the log when 

rolling down into the splitter 

after cutting. This system assures 

safer and exact dropping 

of the log into the log cradle 

in the splitter so that no hands 

reaching into the splitter work 

area are required. 

The machine is available with 

2, 4 or 6 ways wedges to allow 

sticks of firewood to be produced 

in a single cycle. Wood debris, 

saw dust, wood and bark chips 

are cleared through a special 

drop-through grate located in

The bagging system is consisting 

of a set of 2 sliding trays and 

support rails suitable for two 

bags so that non-stop filling can 

continue in one bag while the 

other one is being replaced. 

The splitting blade is conceived 

for non-stop back-and-forth 

operation to process round logs 

in 10-25 cm Ø and split them 

into smaller kindling. Cylinder 

and splitting blade are mounted 

on special rubber rollers for 

reduced wear. Output and final 

performance: homogeneous production 

of high-quality, uniform 

kindling (dry logs is a must) for 

quick, effortless lighting of 

wood fire. 

The size of the kindling sticks is 

adjustable by means of an adjustment

Wood is a renewable energy
