Rodriguez ’05
Congratulations to Noelia, Valencia
alumna and employee. Noelia and
Neftali Acevedo Hernandez tied the
knot in a small ceremony in August.
Robyn D ’Angelo ’08
Robyn graduated this year with a
B.S.N. from Nova Southeastern
University-Orlando and is preparing
to start school in November for her
nurse practitioner license. “Thank
you to Mrs. O’Neal who was my
inspiration at Valencia and helped
to shape me into the RN that I
have become today. It is because of
you that I continue to pursue my
education. I will never forget you.”
Christina M. Bessellieu ’10
Christina will graduate from
UCF with a B.S. in Psychology
in December and will begin her
master’s in Intelligence Analysis at
American Military University.
7 Karina Haywood ’11
Karina attends UCF after
graduating from Valencia with an
A.S. degree in Paralegal Studies
and specializations in transactional
and paralegal litigation. In August,
she was presented with the
outstanding volunteer award before
a packed house at the Volunteer
Recognition Event for the 9th
Judicial Circuit State Attorney’s
Office by former State Attorney
Lawson Lamar. Karina won the
award for more than 430 hours
of service assisting the Division
23 assistant state attorneys and
staff in the State’s prosecution of
violations of probation.
8 Machelle Koonce ’11, ’13
Machelle, 36, was awarded the
Valencia Alumni Association’s
Charlie and Ilona Edwards Memorial
Scholarship in June. Machelle, who
is currently attending Valencia, is
employed by the U.S. Department
of Justice’s Federal Bureau of Prisons,
and has worked in law enforcement
for 17 years.

Nelson J. Rodulfo ’11
Nelson started working in the
stainless steel fabrication industry
as a designer six months prior to
graduating from Valencia, thanks to
the recommendations of a classmate
and one of his Valencia professors.
He plans to pursue a bachelor’s
degree in the near future.
