Shanghai SR Aircraft Technics signs contract with
Singapore Airlines
Zurich, July 6, 2007
Shanghai SR Aircraft Technics, the joint venture between SR Technics and
Shanghai Foreign Aviation Service Corporation (Shanghai FASCO), has signed a
contract for line maintenance services with Singapore Airlines. Services
commenced on July 1, 2007.
Under the agreement with Singapore Airlines, Shanghai SR Aircraft Technics will
provide technical support, mainly line maintenance, for the airline’s Boeing 777 and
747 aircraft during their transit stops at Shanghai (Pudong) International Airport.
Initially, there will be five daily flights. Services commenced on July 1, 2007.
In addition, SR Technics will also provide line maintenance services for Singapore
Airlines’ cargo operations into Shanghai (Pudong) for its Boeing 747 aircraft.
Shanghai SR Aircraft Technics provides technical services at Shanghai International
(Pudong) Airport. As a first step, the venture partners are establishing the operation as
a leading provider of line maintenance and technical consulting services in Shanghai.
At a later stage, the company intends to add technical training to their scope of
services, extend its operations to other airports in the region and expand the range of
products and services offered.
