Units
• Core units | compulsory units which must be studied to
complete the requirements of a major.
• Option | a unit chosen from a range of given options (a list of
alternatives), as distinct from a core (compulsory) unit.
• Complementary units | up to four additional units that may be
specified for some degree-specific majors to provide important
additional knowledge and expertise in particular areas, or to
allow students to make up gaps in their knowledge that will be
required to successfully complete the major.
