Shanghai & Beyond
A brilliant mélange of old and new, Shanghai embodies all that is modern China but at the same time, it is unlike anywhere else in the country.
There are surprises and delights at every turn – from the futuristic skyline to the Colonial Bund, from quiet alleyways and peaceful parks to glitzy cocktail bars.
After a few days soaking up the excitement of one of Asia’s most vibrant cities, why not head out to one Shanghai’s neighbouring ancient canal towns such
as Zhujiajiao, Suzhou or Wuzhen. The picturesque West Lake of Hangzhou is also nearby and further afield is the magnificent fabled mountain of Huang Shan.
