scenery, iridescent rice paddies and friendly people. Experience the best of this beautiful
region on this 5 day tour.
Your explorations begin with a visit to Longsheng. Wander through the maze of stone
pathways to a White Yao village with its wooden houses on stilts, and hike further up the
mountain to admire some of China’s most spectacular rice terrace scenery. In the evening
take a walking tour of Guilin’s town square and riverside, including a fascinating night
market. The next day board your boat for a scenic journey along the Li River. The cruise
will take you through magical karst limestone landscapes to peaceful Yangshuo. Set
among lush rice paddies and surrounded by limestone peaks, Yangshuo provides an
interesting contrast to China’s big cities. The following day begins with a Tai Chi lesson,
followed by a bike ride among surrounding villages, rice paddies, lotus fields and fish
farms. Return to town for a free evening before your transfer to the airport on day 5.

See spectacular towering limestone karst cliffs and ascend a winding road that snakes
up the mountainside to Longsheng, home to various ethnic minority groups. Wander
through the maze of narrow stone pathways and traditional wooden houses on stilts of
the Zhuang and Yao people, and admire some of China's most spectacular rice terraces.
This area is known as the Dragon's Backbone and the paddy fields, which cling
precariously to the slopes of nearby peaks and valleys, are a photographer's dream.
You are sure to be in awe of the area's stunning natural beauty – the terraced rice fields
here are renowned as one of China's most loved and enduring sites.

Board a boat for the scenic and interesting journey along the Li River. Your journey will
take you past tranquil farming, fishing and village scenes, where a snapshot of rural life in
China will captivate your imagination.
The main attraction is the stunning limestone karsts that tower above the river and create
a magical landscape. The natural beauty of this region has inspired Chinese poets and
painters for centuries.
Cruise downstream to Yangshuo, a small town set in lush green rice paddies and
surrounded by meandering rivers and limestone peaks. Spend the afternoon walking the
cobblestone streets, relax in a café and soak up the atmosphere before driving back to
beautiful Guilin.

A short drive from Guilin, take an illuminated tour through the popular Reed Flute Cave
to see its many chambers and caverns – an entertaining and fun experience! Head
back towards town for the short climb up Fubo Hill for amazing 360-degree views of
Guilin town and the Li River.
Return to the city for lunch at a local restaurant and visit Seven Star Park and
Elephant Trunk Hill. End the day with a relaxing foot massage at the Chinese Traditional
Medicine Institute where you will learn the merits of this ancient practice.
