fitness and health, movement and relaxation. Our centre combines the best of the Wellness worlds.<br />

Aquacise / <strong>Leisure</strong> 50 Aquacise - Whatever your age or<br />

ability Aquacise is a fantastic way to get fit. Water acts as a<br />

natural resistance without causing stress to the muscles and<br />

joints. Great for weight loss, tone and increasing your fitness.<br />

Back to Basics - Learn basic core exercises and posture to<br />

help you to get the best from Kinesis.<br />

Body Fusion - This class is a mixture of Yoga, Pilates and<br />

Flexibility. Perfect for allowing your body to work in harmony.<br />

Kinesis - Kinesis is a whole new way to work out, allowing the<br />

body a free range of movement. Kinesis adapts to the body<br />

rather than the other way around using resistance modules.<br />

Perfect for rehab, de-conditioned users, seniors and athletes.<br />

Kinesis is great for burning calories: Kinesis recruits more<br />

muscle groups than traditional strength training resulting in<br />

30% more calories burned. Athletes find that Kinesis programs<br />

can be designed to mimic their sport to help maximise<br />

performance.<br />

Kinesis Back Care Six Week Courses - Over the six-week<br />

course you will learn about posture, core stability, functional<br />

movement, stretches, relaxation techniques, pain tolerance<br />

and the benefit of safe, affective exercise. We cannot promise<br />

to cure your back problem but we will provide you with the<br />

knowledge of how to improve and cope with your condition.<br />

Many satisfied customers have successfully completed the<br />

course and gone on to enjoy a new lease of life.<br />

Kinesis Core – This session is for you if you have a back<br />

problem and have attended back care sessions and are ready<br />

to progress your exercise or if you would like to improve your<br />

core strength, protect your back and incorporate an all over<br />

body workout.<br />

Open Sessions - We recommend that you attend a minimum<br />

of 6 sessions with a Wellness Consultant before attending the<br />

Kinesis Open Sessions. For your benefit we advise that you<br />

continue to attend kinesis sessions to ensure that you do not<br />

de-train.<br />

Pilates - Pilates encourages you to think about how you<br />

perform everyday movements. It heightens your body<br />

awareness and improves posture, core stability, flexibility and<br />

strength ensuring that your body is working at its optimal level<br />

at all times.<br />

Salsacise - Get ready to wriggle those hips! Fantastic fun<br />

guaranteed to get you moving!<br />

Senior Kinesis - These sessions focus on functional<br />

movements that can become difficult as we age. You will be<br />

taught posture and balance techniques to help strengthen<br />

core muscles and to retrain receptors throughout the body<br />

which decrease in function with age but are important to<br />

prevent falls.<br />

Sports Therapy Kinesis - This session is aimed at those who<br />

have sports injuries or are muscular skeletal post-operative.<br />

Stress Management Three Week Course - This course<br />

will explain the difference between stress and anxiety and<br />

the effect it has on the body. You will learn how to channel<br />

negative stress in to positive Basic Cognitive Behaviour<br />

Therapy (CBT), basic tools for progressive relaxation,<br />

Progressive Relaxation Techniques (PRT) and breathing<br />

techniques, stretches and visualisations to use throughout<br />

the day. See reception to put your name on the list (Free to<br />

Wellness Members. £30.00 for Non-Members).<br />

Tai Chi/Chi Kung - This ancient martial art is also known as<br />

Meditation in Motion. Using gentle flowing movements and<br />

breathing techniques every day stress is reduced and health<br />

is improved. Movements are performed in a relaxed state to<br />

allow blood flow to all muscles in the body.<br />

Trigger Point - Learn how to use specialist equipment to<br />

massage your muscles. You’ll be amazed at the improvement<br />

in such a short time!<br />

TRX / Kettle Bells - Combining the best of both sessions to<br />

help you to achieve your goals.<br />

TRX Training - Using gravity and your own body weight<br />

this session will help you to improve your muscle strength and<br />

tone, balance, coordination, flexibility core and joint stability –<br />

you will defiantly work your whole body!<br />

Yoga - Practising the postures, breathing exercises and<br />

meditation makes you healthier in Body Mind and Spirit.<br />

Yoga helps you to relax and shape up, improves flexibility<br />

and strength whilst reducing stress and tension<br />

creating a sense of wellbeing and calm.<br />
