The Lord awaked as one out of sleep, and like a mighty man that has been
surfeited with wine. And He built His holy place like the unicorn, He established
it in the land forever. Alleluia.

Stand with the fear of God. Let us hear the Holy Gospel. Bless, O Lord, the reading of the Holy Gospel, according to
St. Mark. Blessed be He Who comes in the Name of the Lord. Our Lord, God, Saviour, and King of us all, Jesus Christ, Son
of the Living God, to Whom is glory forever.
And very early in the morning
the first day of the week, they came
unto the sepulchre at the rising of the
sun. And they said among themselves,
Who shall roll us away the stone from
the door of the sepulchre? And when
they looked, they saw that the stone
was rolled away: for it was very great.
And entering into the sepulchre, they
saw a young man sitting on the right
side, clothed in a long white garment;
and they were affrighted. And he
saith unto them, Be not affrighted: Ye
seek Jesus of Nazareth, which was
crucified: he is risen; he is not here:
behold the place where they laid him.
But go your way, tell his disciples and
Peter that he goeth before you into
Galilee: there shall ye see him, as he
said unto you. And they went out
quickly, and fled from the sepulchre;
for they trembled and were amazed:
neither said they any thing to any
man; for they were afraid.
Now when Jesus was risen early
the first day of the week, he appeared
first to Mary Magdalene, out of whom
he had cast seven devils. And she
went and told them that had been
with him, as they mourned and wept.
And they, when they had heard that
he was alive, and had been seen of her,
believed not. Glory be to God forever.

But every man in his own order:
Christ the firstfruits; afterward they
that are Christ's at his coming. Then
cometh the end, when he shall have
delivered up the kingdom to God,
even the Father; when he shall have
put down all rule and all authority
and power. For he must reign, till he
hath put all enemies under his feet.
The last enemy that shall be destroyed
is death. For he hath put all things
under his feet. But when he saith, all
things are put under him, it is manifest
that he is excepted, which did put all
