PROPERTIES Inside the world’s most expensive penthouse The world’s most expensive penthouse – £240m – has been unveiled in Monaco. It has a waterslide to link the dancefloor to the pool. Taking over the top five storeys of the Tour Odeon tower on Av. de l’Annonciade, the five bed 35,000 sq ft apartment is one of 73 private residential units in the first high rise to be built in the principality since the Eighties. Prince Albert of Monaco has had more than a hand in the project, personally giving the go-ahead to the the 557 foot, 49 and 44-storey towers in 2009, overturning his papa Prince Rainier’s embargo on high rises. Knight Frank is handling the penthouse sale, and expects to bring in €300m, which the agency says would make it the most pricey top floor on Earth.
