2010<br />
Eligibility Requirements: Scholarship <strong>to</strong> be given <strong>to</strong> a graduating female student<br />
of <strong>Hanover</strong> High School who intends <strong>to</strong> pursue studies in the field of education.<br />
There is no GPA requirement, but it will be taken in<strong>to</strong> consideration. Preference<br />
will go <strong>to</strong> those students who can demonstrate involvement with children or peers<br />
throughout their high school years through babysitting, tu<strong>to</strong>ring, camp counseling<br />
or other appropriate work with children. In addition <strong>to</strong> the application, please<br />
submit a one-page essay answering one of the following questions: (1) Tell us<br />
about the one teacher who has had the most influence on your life so far and why or<br />
(2) Write about the most valuable lesson you ever learned in school. What made it<br />
so useful for you? At least one, but no more than three letters of recommendation<br />
are required as well. Application may be obtained at the Guidance Office or by e-<br />
mailing the chairperson listed below.<br />

Music Club<br />
Three $500 scholarships<br />
awarded in 2010<br />
Eligibility Requirements: One scholarship will be awarded <strong>to</strong> a current senior<br />
attending <strong>Hanover</strong> High School continuing post-high school education with a major<br />
or minor in Music Education, Music Theory/Composition, Music Therapy, Music<br />
Theater, Music Business, Music His<strong>to</strong>ry, Music Management and Merchandising,<br />
Music Pedagogy, Music Performance, Musicology and Ethnomusicology or<br />
Applied Music, or a student who demonstrates an interest in pursuing course work<br />
in music. A second scholarship will be awarded <strong>to</strong> a current senior attending<br />
<strong>Hanover</strong> High School who was a member of the High School band for at least 3<br />
years, attended band camp for at least 3 years, marched in the parades with the<br />
Band, performed with the Band at football games, performed in the Concert Band,<br />
and performed at school sponsored activities and functions.. A third scholarship<br />
will be awarded <strong>to</strong> a current senior attending <strong>Hanover</strong> High School who was a<br />
member of the High School Chorus, VOX, or Chorale for at least 3 years,<br />
performed at school sponsored activities and functions, and performed in concerts.<br />
Applicant’s family must be an official dues-paying member of the <strong>Hanover</strong><br />
Parents’ Music Club. Applicants must meet the criteria listed for each scholarship.<br />
