Eligibility Requirements: Any resident of <strong>Hanover</strong> who will be graduating from<br />
an accredited high school and who has been accepted at an accredited post<br />
secondary institution, and most importantly, has participated in at least one HYAA<br />
sponsored sport. In addition, parent involvement in HYAA programs is also a<br />

Eligibility Requirements: This scholarship in memory of Richard Hegerich will<br />
be given <strong>to</strong> a high school athlete that possesses many of his same qualities. While<br />
not necessarily the best athlete on the team, Rich demonstrated tremendous<br />
dedication and strength of character that inspired his teammates. The applicant<br />
must be a varsity athlete accepted <strong>to</strong> a 4-year accredited college or university.<br />
Selection will be based on overall achievement, good moral character and school<br />
involvement with special emphasis on community service. Applicants must submit<br />
a one-page (maximum) essay explaining why they are deserving <strong>to</strong> Ms. Hegerich,<br />
