This is one of the top-end speakers in the current
line of the DLS ULTIMATE speaker systems. The
sound is dynamic, clean and unrestrained. You
can enjoy listening for long hours, at high levels
with great pleasure.
The exceptional performance of this speaker
is a result of unique driver technology and advanced
crossover design.
They come in 6,5” and 8” sizes as 2- or 3-way
systems. They use a 3” voice coil, neodymium
magnet system and a cone made of non-pressed
paper. The midrange in the 3-ways is a 3” dome
using a first-rate textile material. Some of the crossover
uses ribbon coils made of flat copper foil.
All this together creates a unique sound quality
that can’t be described – it must be heard. You will
be able to hear new details in the music.
The DLS Iridium 6.2 received the 2004 EISA* award
as ”MOBILE LOUDSPEAKER of the year 2004-
2005”.
*EISA, European Imaging and Sound Association, is
representing nearly 50 leading electronic magazines from
over 18 European countries.
The Iridium i-models are improved. They all use die
cast basket in both the mid bass drivers and tweeters
for improved sound and mechanical stability.
