Mike and C. J. joined CVC in June of 1994 and were very active members until they moved to Idaho in 2007. We used to go to dinner together most Friday nights. When our little group grew to six couples someone started calling us the “Dirty Dozen”. The name stuck even though at times our group sometimes numbered two dozen. C. J. was our club “character”. She could find something funny about most situations and was pretty flamboyant at times. Wherever the action was, you would find her right in the middle of it. She loved antiques and was a dealer. Traveling as far as Hawaii or Oregon to sell her wares; Mike was her faithful companion through all of her escapades. They put together lots of fun runs…to Hawaii (what a great trip that was), to the Gunn Hotel in Sonora (which was haunted…ask Ed Kroeker about the ghost that visited him!), Placerville (another neat old historic hotel), and lots of other places and nice dinner outings.
She loved Disneyland and was ready to go there at the drop of a hat! She collected and sold most of the Disney characters.
