This qualification aims to provide learners with
an understanding of the legal environment
whilst they gain business administration skills.
Designed to equip learners to work as
administrators in the legal sector, the
qualification will help to meet this growing
industry need.
At Level 2 this qualification focuses on skills
requiring greater responsibility as an
administrator and developing an understanding
of the requirements of business administration
services within the legal sector.
On completion learners will gain the skills and
knowledge required to progress to Level 3
Business Administration, Level 3 Legal
Secretaries, Level 2 Legal Studies and Level 3
Awards in Paralegal. In addition, they may also
progress onto the Level 3 Advanced
Apprenticeship in Business and
Administration.

Structure
Learners must complete all 4 mandatory
units.
The mandatory units are made up of three business administration units with one
legal environment unit, this allows the learner to be fully equipped with generic
administrative understanding yet have a knowledge of the legal sector to support
their skills in this area.
Assessment
Units are assessed via online multiple
choice questions. Assessment is available
through the City & Guilds e-assessment
platform e-volve.
The three business units have dual assessment so centres can choose assignment or
online multiple choice, this does not apply to the Legal Environment. e-volve cuts the
time spent marking and reduces your paperwork. E-volve is flexible and improves
success as candidates only complete when they are ready.
