In order to come to a quantitative conclusion<br />

about <strong>the</strong> def<strong>in</strong>ite connection between<br />

calculated paths of tension and <strong>the</strong><br />

<strong>format</strong>ion and direction of WEA on <strong>the</strong><br />

tooth flanks, ,3 fur<strong>the</strong>r .ana]ysis must exam<strong>in</strong>e<br />

<strong>the</strong> <strong>in</strong>fluence of residual stress,<br />

which, especiallyat <strong>the</strong> surface, must not<br />

be negleded.<br />

It isa1so unclear whe<strong>the</strong>r <strong>the</strong> temperatures<br />

that locally occur at <strong>the</strong> flanks can<br />

cause a temper<strong>in</strong>g process, and, <strong>the</strong>reby,<br />

<strong>the</strong> decay of <strong>the</strong> WEA structure over a<br />

longer time.<br />
