Recommendation 8: The Number of Regions should be reduced but<br />
Regions should self-determine the optimal number<br />
That the sport supports that the 16 Regions should be reduced in number but that<br />

rationalisation without approval of the sport. Roles, critical attributes and accountabilities of Regions<br />
will be set out in new Constitution. However all Regions must immediately after the adoption of the<br />
new Constitution for <strong>SNZ</strong>:<br />

Committees to have at least two appointed (but not necessarily independent) members. Regions<br />
<br />
<strong>SNZ</strong> will be free to establish a new replacement Region;<br />
<br />
competition pathway that will be implemented as a result of the implementation of these Competition<br />
Zones;<br />
<br />
<br />
to the sport (i.e. published on <strong>SNZ</strong> website) its own strategic plan identifying its own role (with its<br />
<br />
achievement against key performance indicators detailed in each plan; and<br />
<br />
trust, collaboration and discipline within the sport going forward.<br />

Recommendation 9: A sport database<br />

to provide accurate membership data on a timely basis will have their voting rights<br />
suspended until this is remedied.<br />
The database will be used to support the sport in all regards including sports administration and for<br />
funding and sponsorship purposes. <strong>SNZ</strong> can communicate directly with any person/organisation on<br />
<br />
Clubs for the purpose of supporting and growing the sport.<br />
