There’s nothing like
the 2010 Royal Melbourne Show!
With new attractions, great family
entertainment, thousands of animals
and even more free fun activities
on offer, there’s nothing like
the 2010 Royal Melbourne Show,
which will be held at the Melbourne
Showgrounds from Saturday 18 to
Tuesday 28 September.
Conducted by the Royal Agricultural
Society of Victoria (RASV), the
Royal Melbourne Show is Victoria’s
most popular annual community
event that brings the very best of
the country to the city to provide a
range of unique and memorable
experiences to enjoy with family
and friends.
“Traditionally beginning the Thursday
prior to school holidays, the
2010 Royal Melbourne Show will
this year be held from Saturday 18
to Tuesday 28 September to encompass
the second week of the school
holidays, making it more accessible
for a greater number of families with
young children to attend,” said Mr
O’Sullivan RASV CEO.
This year’s Show is packed with
a wide variety of free and fun activities
from interactive and educational
family entertainment to animals
and agriculture, art and craft, food
and wine, carnival rides, showbags
and spectacular fireworks.
The new Flowers, Gardening
and Pets Pavilion will be a highlight
this year, featuring the “Growers
Avenue and Fresh Flower Market”,
a showcase of the best of Victoria’s
flower growers by Flowers Victoria.
Also on offer in this pavilion will be
a range of companion animals on
display and an all-new reptile and
snake exhibition from the Victorian
Herpetological Society.
Also new this year - and a first for
Australian audiences - will be the
