Job Title: Export Operations Supervisor

Position Definition
Supervises each process of the Warehouse Operation from the Receiving Area where the freight comes
in and is entered to the system, to the Warehouse Area where it is staged by destination and type.
Palletization and then loaded onto the trailers and transported to the ramp. Once at the ramp
offloaded and staged to be placed on the aircraft. Perform and oversee; the physical and
documentation inspection of all Dangerous Goods coming in through the Export and Import
Departments. The position authorizes or rejects the conditions of all cargo to be transported safely
to its destination and continues to monitor these materials until they reach their final destination.
The position would also assist the Hazmat Team in the event of an emergency or accident caused
by Dangerous Goods. Ensures security against accidents caused by improper storage, improper
packaging, improper identification and improper handling by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ensure the efficiency in the receiving of the freight coming in.
Plan and coordinate daily shift requirements; by checking the LINUX system and coordinating
with the Traffic Department all flight necessities and any special requirements for each
destination.
Assign the crews for each destination and provide the weight requirements for each pallet that
must be built.
Check all destinations for any oversized freight that would need pre -planning and space
pallets.
Supervise the efficiency of the pallet building process versus the amount of man-hours.
Communicate with the Scale Agent about the priority of the pallets being weighed and
properly entered into the system.
Coordinate with the Tractor-Trailer Driver's to take the pallets to the Ramp.
Check documentation and perform a physical inspection of the Dangerous Goods
shipment coming in through the Export Receiving Area and Imports.
Move Dangerous Goods in and out of the Hazmat Containment Area or personally
escort a second person if help is needed.
Put shipments On Hold that come through Imports with incomplete documentation or improper
packaging, until shipper can resolve the issue.
File all Dangerous Goods document copies as per Federal Aviation/Department of
Transportation regulations (90 day file) and all relevant documents for local reference.
Perform Warehouse Checks to identify any Hazmat Freight not labeled / or undeclared
hazmat.
Makes hiring and termination recommendations
Monitor attendance and performance of all personnel.
Ensure that proper tools and materials are available for each shift
Ensures that all employee performance evaluations are completed timely.
Ensures compliance with regulations, policies and procedures, and takes action when
Ensures that safety and security procedures within the department are complied with
consistently.
Other duties may be assigned.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The physical demands described herein are representative of those that must be met to successfully
perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is
regularly required to stand, walk, talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to climb, crawl,
kneel, crouch or stoop. The employee is occasionally required to sit. The employee must occasionally
lift and or move up to 70 lb. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance
vision, and color vision.
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, EDUCATION:
lATA Certification Required; One Year Work Experience with lATA certification.
Five years prior experience in a freight forwarder environment or warehousing.
Two years prior experience in a lead or supervisory role preferred.
Basic knowledge of Word / Excel.
Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision to the completion of all duties and
projects assigned.
Ability to clearly communicate (verbally and written) with all levels of staff, vendors and
customers.
High School Diploma or GED required
Five years industry experience
Fluent in English, Bilingual Spanish preferred
