Job Title: Export Operations Supervisor<br />

Department Stations: Export Warehouse<br />

Reports to: Export Warehouse Manager<br />

SUMMARY:<br />

Supervises each process of the Warehouse Operation from the Receiving Area where the freight comes<br />

in and is entered to the system, to the Warehouse Area where it is staged by destination and type.<br />

Palletization and then loaded onto the trailers and transported to the ramp. Once at the ramp<br />

offloaded and staged to be placed on the aircraft. Perform and oversee; the physical and<br />

documentation inspection of all Dangerous Goods coming in through the Export and Import<br />

Departments. The position authorizes or rejects the conditions of all cargo to be transported safely<br />

to its destination and continues to monitor these materials until they reach their final destination.<br />

The position would also assist the Hazmat Team in the event of an emergency or accident caused<br />

by Dangerous Goods. Ensures security against accidents caused by improper storage, improper<br />

packaging, improper identification and improper handling by performing the following duties.<br />

Ensure the efficiency in the receiving of the freight coming in.<br />

Plan and coordinate daily shift requirements; by checking the LINUX system and coordinating<br />

with the Traffic Department all flight necessities and any special requirements for each<br />

destination.<br />

Assign the crews for each destination and provide the weight requirements for each pallet that<br />

must be built.<br />

Check all destinations for any oversized freight that would need pre -planning and space<br />

pallets.<br />

Supervise the efficiency of the pallet building process versus the amount of man-hours.<br />

Communicate with the Scale Agent about the priority of the pallets being weighed and<br />

properly entered into the system.<br />

Coordinate with the Tractor-Trailer Driver's to take the pallets to the Ramp.<br />

Check documentation and perform a physical inspection of the Dangerous Goods<br />

shipment coming in through the Export Receiving Area and Imports.<br />

Move Dangerous Goods in and out of the Hazmat Containment Area or personally<br />

escort a second person if help is needed.<br />

Put shipments On Hold that come through Imports with incomplete documentation or improper<br />

packaging, until shipper can resolve the issue.<br />

File all Dangerous Goods document copies as per Federal Aviation/Department of<br />

Transportation regulations (90 day file) and all relevant documents for local reference.<br />

Perform Warehouse Checks to identify any Hazmat Freight not labeled / or undeclared<br />

hazmat.<br />

Makes hiring and termination recommendations<br />

Monitor attendance and performance of all personnel.<br />

Ensure that proper tools and materials are available for each shift<br />

Ensures that all employee performance evaluations are completed timely.<br />

Ensures compliance with regulations, policies and procedures, and takes action when<br />

Ensures that safety and security procedures within the department are complied with<br />

consistently.<br />

Other duties may be assigned.


PHYSICAL DEMANDS:<br />

The physical demands described herein are representative of those that must be met to successfully<br />

perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is<br />

regularly required to stand, walk, talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to climb, crawl,<br />

kneel, crouch or stoop. The employee is occasionally required to sit. The employee must occasionally<br />

lift and or move up to 70 lb. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance<br />

vision, and color vision.<br />

lATA Certification Required; One Year Work Experience with lATA certification.<br />

Five years prior experience in a freight forwarder environment or warehousing.<br />

Two years prior experience in a lead or supervisory role preferred.<br />

Basic knowledge of Word / Excel.<br />

Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision to the completion of all duties and<br />

projects assigned.<br />

Ability to clearly communicate (verbally and written) with all levels of staff, vendors and<br />

customers.<br />

High School Diploma or GED required<br />

Five years industry experience<br />

Fluent in English, Bilingual Spanish preferred<br />
