Job Title: <strong>Loadmaster</strong><br />

Position Definition<br />
SUMMARY:<br />
This position is responsible for performing, coordinating, and overseeing aircraft ground<br />
services in accordance with <strong>Amerijet</strong>’s policy, HAZMAT Manual, and other documents<br />
pertaining to loadmaster duties and responsibilities in MIA and other stations overseas. This<br />
position performs, coordinates, oversees, and facilitates the following tasks and corrects and<br />
reports deficiencies discovered:<br />
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:<br />
• Tie-down equipment inspection.<br />
• Aircraft loading and handling.<br />
• Cargo buildup, breakdown, and tie-down.<br />
• Aircraft load planning.<br />
• Pallet and net inspection<br />
• Hazardous materials acceptance, loading, stowage, handling, and pilot notification.<br />
• Import, export, and other government agency documentation.<br />
• Customs, Immigration and other government agency requirements for international flights.<br />
• Ground security for aircraft and cargo.<br />
• Staff, equipment, and material planning.<br />
• Inventory, stowage, and reporting of equipment and materials.<br />
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, EDUCATION:<br />
•Five (5) years prior loadmaster and/or aircraft ground service experience required.<br />
• Ability to clearly communicate (verbal and written) with company, vendor, customer, agency<br />
personnel. (Spanish is not required but would be a plus.)<br />
• Ability to successfully complete and maintain pre-employment/employment drug screen and<br />
background checks.<br />
• Ability to type on PC and typewriter and moderately proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and E-mail.<br />
• Ability to work and complete projects with minimal supervision.<br />
• Ability to stand, bend and reach in order to maintain files; sit for extended periods of time.<br />
• US citizen or legal resident with valid work permit<br />
• Ability to travel at a moments notice. (Passport required)<br />
• Ability to work a flexible schedule<br />
• 727/767 loadmaster experience preferred.<br />
• Ability to work outdoors all type of weather.
• High school diploma or GED minimum<br />
• Certified in weight and balance or load planning preferred.<br />
• Certified in acceptance, loading, stowage, and handling of Hazardous Materials preferred<br />
