<strong>Pioneer</strong>’s “Direct Energy” concept is pursued to the utmost,<br />

featuring optimised power supply/output circuit blocks, as<br />

well as parts layout. The unit reproduces clearer sound with<br />

reduced distortion. The result is excellent signal transfer and<br />

high S/N ratio, with the performance to bring out the best<br />

musical reproduction from the integrated amplifier.<br />

Isolated Power Supply<br />

The wirings for the power amplifier, pre-amplifier, and power<br />

transformer of the controls are all separated to cut out noise<br />

interference. The power circuit for the controls adopts<br />

Schottky barrier diodes with minimum noise, which enables<br />

Direct Stream Digital (DSD) is the format used for<br />

storing extremely high-resolution audio signals<br />

on SACDs. DSD represents<br />

audio signal size by the<br />

density of 1-bit digital pulse,<br />

dynamic range. CDs are<br />

based on the audible range,<br />

while DSD can encode and<br />
