Feature Highlights of Pioneer's Integrated Amplifiers
Direct Energy Amplifier
a-30 a-10
Pioneer’s “Direct Energy” concept is pursued to the utmost,
featuring optimised power supply/output circuit blocks, as
well as parts layout. The unit reproduces clearer sound with
reduced distortion. The result is excellent signal transfer and
high S/N ratio, with the performance to bring out the best
musical reproduction from the integrated amplifier.
Isolated Power Supply
a-30 a-10
The wirings for the power amplifier, pre-amplifier, and power
transformer of the controls are all separated to cut out noise
interference. The power circuit for the controls adopts
Schottky barrier diodes with minimum noise, which enables
noise-free clean power supply to the critical power amplifier
section. This allows even more realistic amplification of the
audio signals.
Symmetrical Power Amp
a-30 a-10
The symmetrical power amp provides
high channel separation for the whole
frequency range as well as low distortion
characteristics, realising superb sound
image localisation. The amplifier creates
lively mid to high-range sound, allowing
reproduction of original sound from
various sources, including high-resolution
audio.
Clean Ground Construction
a-30 a-10
The unit’s circuit design is based on the clean ground
concept, with the shortest and simplest signal paths. The
result is reduced distortion with minimum signal interference
for improved sonic clarity.
Source Direct Mode
a-30 a-10
The integrated amplifiers feature Source Direct Mode, which
bypasses all other circuits except for the volume to offer a
pure listening experience suitable for musical content. The
mode is not just a simple switching, but is finely tuned to
enhance the musicality.
Super Audio CD Player with Aluminium Front Panel, DSD Disc Playback, and Front USB
The technology works to create undistorted sound,
bringing out the best in the 32-bit DAC. Using Pioneeroriginal
algorithms, Hi-bit32 Audio Processing expands
the input bit signals to create a natural and analoguelike
waveform, reproducing rich audio even from
extremely minute signals. High-resolution 192 kHz/24-
bit audio sources can be expanded to 192 kHz/32-bit signals.
32-bit Extension Processing
Direct Stream Digital (DSD) is the format used for
storing extremely high-resolution audio signals
on SACDs. DSD represents
audio signal size by the
density of 1-bit digital pulse,
realizing 100 kHz frequency
response, and 120 dB
dynamic range. CDs are
based on the audible range,
while DSD can encode and
reproduce natural sound,
much closer to the analogue
source.
192 kHz/32-bit Twin DAC
pd-50
To process high-density signals from the SACD, twin 192 kHz/
32-bit D/A converters are used on the SACD players. They are
parallel-connected for improved audio performance, to
reproduce minute musical nuances in master sound quality.
Direct Construction with Separate Shield Structure
pd-50 pd-10
The SACD players feature a separate shield structure which
completely isolates the audio block from the digital/servo power
block. Yet, the shortest and simplest paths are provided for signal
transmission with Pioneer’s Direct Construction. The result is
minimum noise and distortion for crystal clear audio reproduction.
