Among respondents to the 2006 county-wide survey, most indicated living in
the county for more than five years, with 14.2% indicating they lived in the
county for less than five years. On average, those surveyed lived in the county
for 29.3 years. One in ten respondents moved to the county within the last
year.
When asked if a move from the Chattanooga area was likely in the next three
years, 79% indicated that a move was not at all likely (59%) or not too likely
(20%)
