Tennessee, were clustered in the Southeast. The remaining four were North<br />
Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, and Kentucky. 14<br />
Census 2000 statistics indicated that the greatest proportion of the <strong>for</strong>eign born<br />
population living in Hamilton County were from the Americas (Chart 4; 36%-<br />
-including Mexico, Central America, South America, and Canada) and Asia<br />
(36%). The next highest percentage was from European nations (23%).<br />
Immigrants living in Hamilton County came from more than 80 <strong>for</strong>eign nations<br />
with the top two percentages from Mexico (1236—13.3% of the total<br />
