Page 12 Seven Lakes Times June 9, 2006 GRADUATES High School Grads Class of 2006 Ashley Bray Alexander North Moore High School Ashley is the daughter of Mark and Lisa Alexander of Eagle Springs. Her grandparents are Foster & Dorothy Williams of Eagle Springs and Don & Lillie Alexander of Seven Lakes. She was named all conference in volleyball & as team captain her senior year, a member of Beta Club, Key Club, Fellowship of Christian Students. She will attend UNC-G for Sports Medicine. Steven Taylor Beattie Pinecrest High School Steven is the son of Chuck and Lynn Beattie of Seven Lakes South & the grandson of Alberta Spence of Seven Lakes South and Eleanor Beattie of Rocky Mount. A member of the National Honor Society, track team, football team, a volunteer fireman with SL Fire Dept., and active in West End Presbyterian Church Youth Group. He will attend the College of Engineering & Textiles at NC State. Christopher Tyler Brewer Northern Vance High School Henderson, NC Tyler is the son of Mr. & Mrs. Bo Cheatham and Mr. & Mrs. Chris Brewer. He is the grandson of Jean and Carl “Leftee” Scholl of Seven Lakes North. He was an outstanding forward on the soccer team & selected to play on the All State team. Tyler will attend Eastern Carolina University in Greenville, NC. Brittney C. Dishner Pinecrest High School Brittney is the daughter of Jess and Kathee Dishner of Seven Lakes West. She was one of the Varsity soccer team captains, co-editor of the school yearbook, and a member of the National Honor Society. Brittney will be attending University of North Carolina Wilmington. Richard Cameron Gower Pinecrest High School Cameron is the son of Mr. & Mrs. Geoffrey Gower of Seven Lakes West. His grandmothers are Mrs. Richard Gower and Mrs. Ann Rutherford. Cameron will be attending North Carolina State University of Raleigh. He will pursue a degree in Nuclear Engineering. Elizabeth Hardy Union Pines High School Elizabeth is the daughter of Brian and Kelly Drobnak of Lakeview, NC. She the granddaughter of Pete and Barbara Murphy of Seven Lakes North. Elizabeth will attend Sandhills Community College in the fall and transfer to University of North Carolina Wilmington at a later date. Elizabeth Nicole Hubbard Pinecrest High School Nikki is the daughter Marty and Karen Hubbard of Seven Lakes and the granddaughter of Margaret Kinker of Southern Pines. She graduated with an IB certificate. She will attend Sandhills Community College for a year and transfer to either Liberty University or University of North Carolina-Wilmington to pursue a degree in psychology. Paul W. Kline Pinecrest High School Paul is the son of Tim and Cindy Kline of Seven Lakes North. He graduated with an IB diploma. He will attend Furman University in Greenville, SC. He will be pursuing a degree in health and exercise science. Brian Lawrence Greater Boston Academy Stoneham, MA Brian is the son of Ritchie and Ann Lawrence of Wilmington, MA. He is the grandson of Jim and Pat Lott of Seven Lakes North. He served as Class President, an honor student and was the recipient of several scholarships. Brian will attend Walla Walla College in Walla Walla, WA. He plans to major in engineering.
HIGH SCHOOL GRADS June 9, 2006 Seven Lakes Times Page 13 Ryan Elizabeth McGaughey Stone Bridge High School Ashburn, VA Elizabeth is the daughter of Joel and Shanna McGaughey and the granddaughter of Ron and Dita McGaughey of Seven Lakes West. She was active in theatre arts and will be performing at The Kennedy Center in Washington, DC in June. Elizabeth will be attending Radford University in Radford, VA. Maggie Anne McKinley East Montgomery High School Maggie is the daughter Beckie Allen of Troy. She is the granddaughter of Jack and Mary Ann Allen of Seven Lakes South. Maggie was an honors student, Secretary/Treasurer of the National Honor Society, a NC Scholar. She lead and developed a Student Tutor Program, a Scholar Athlete in tennis and soccer. Maggie will attend Campbell University and will major in Biochemistry. Savannah Ashlyn McNeill Pinecrest High School Savannah is the daughter of Curtis and Lisa Skipper of Seven Lakes West and Tim McNeill of Fayetteville. She was a cheerleader and served as co-captain during her senior year. She played softball, was a member of Key Club, concert band, wind ensemble, National Honor Society, and Young Life. Savannah was awarded the Presidential Scholarship from Campbell University and will pursue a Doctor of Pharmacy. Christopher Melone Pinecrest High School Christopher is the son of Steve and Nancy Melone and grandson of Fred and Irma Kuhnert of Seven Lakes. He was a member of the soccer and golf teams at Pinecrest. He is an active member of the Seven Lakes Volunteer Fire Department. Christopher will attend Sandhills Community College, then transfer to the University of North Carolina Charlotte to pursue a degree in Fire Safety Engineering. Dana Old Pinecrest High School Dana is the daughter of Lisa Old and the granddaughter of Richard and Carol Muhlig of Seven Lakes North and Flora Fransisco of Liberty, NY. Dana was a member of the National Honor Society and President of the Devon Aire 4- H Club. She is also an employee of Seven Lakes Stables. Dana will attend Sandhills Community College and transfer to North Carolina State. Samantha Anne Picerno Calvary Christian School Samantha is the daughter of Nick and Jan Picerno of McClendon Hills. Her grandparents are Ruth Boyer of Cameron and Betty Picerno of Carthage. Samantha will attend Campbell University this fall. WE DO STICKERS! LOOK CAREFULLY AT RESTRICTIONS By SANDY STEWART REALTOR The law permits property owners to put in deeds to buyers reasonable restrictions on the use of the real estate being transferred. It might be looked upon as zoning on a very persona basis. For example, a home in a commercially zoned area may have a restriction against use for any commercial purpose. This may be OK for the first buyer who to live in the house, but a lending institution may refuse to lend any money on it because commercial use may be the only reason for a new purchaser to buy it . They prefer to play it safe and give funds for less questionable and risky situations. From the point of view of the buyer, it is preferable that the agreement enumerate any and all restrictions. The point is this: If there ARE restrictions, bring them out in the open and get the advice of your Realtor or attorney before going any further.
