The Fresh Market, 155 Beverly
Lane, Southern Pines, will
host a Wine Gala on Wednesday,
The Fresh Market sponsors
Los Angeles Dodgers.
The Littles are donating four
tickets to one LA Dodgers game
during the 2006 regular season
serves over 100 nonprofit organizations
in Moore, Lee, Richmond,
and Scotland counties
and part of Hoke County. The
branch headquarters are located
at 195 Sandy Avenue in
Southern Pines. During the last
fiscal year, the SFB distributed
over 3.6 million pounds.
Boys and Girls Club of the Sandhills.
Through the SFB, the children
in the after-school program
are provided with a hot meal
five days a week.
In addition to aiding the hungry
in its area, the SFB collected
donations for the victims of
Hurricanes Katrina and Rita in
the gulf coast regions. Two truck
loads of food and supplies (over
60,000 pounds) were delivered
to Louisiana.
Sandi Mardigian said, “The
Fresh Market has been a regular
contributor to the Sandhills
Food Bank for many years and
we feel that this is truly a synergetic
endeavor – working together
to feed the hungry. We are all
looking forward to a successful
