Welcome to 2012 and welcome to another collection of stunning products by éclat.
éclat has completely reinvented the seat and seat tube combo and created it’s own generation
of comfortable, strong and light combos. ‘Fat is back’ so this year most of our seats
come in ‘Fat padded’ versions as well.
To add to our outstanding collection of seats, we present to you the OZ pivotal, a brand new
edition with a stronger inverted beam-construction with smaller pivotal patch hole. Designed
without compromise, the OZ pivotal is the result of complete creative and engineering
freedom. Created with the desire to build the best seat in the world, OZ combines its
compelling presence with design cues that are unmistakably éclat.
In 2012 we also introduce a new version of our pivotal seatpost, the Torch. Not only do we
offer a normal straight version incorporating a unique star shaped wall structure to add
maximum strength but also a laid back version with a 15mm head offset. If you require more
leg clearance than we’ve got you covered.
When you have the best barspins in the world then you need the best bars in the world. The
record selling Ashley Charles signature handlebars are now available in 8.6” rise for 2012.
Joining the already established slim shaped “unit” u-brake and “swift” brake lever, we offer
a new brake lever called the Sniper. The Sniper has a beautiful, eye-catching slim look and
a perfectly shaped lever geometry. Our new brake pads, named the Force, are available as
female and regular bolt system.
The éclat range of pedals has redefined not only éclat but also the luxury BMX parts market.
The family consists of the Plaza, the Surge, and now the Slash pedal. Each model has a
personality of its own, but all share the same powerful presence. A huge amount of input was
squeezed from our respected team of riders and together, we all decided to produce this
excellent pedal in nylon and cast alloy for 2012.
Our new 2012 diesel chain is practically unbreakable and still lighter than a half link chain
due to our choice of hi tensile material. The chain comes with a half link and has an astonishing
classic look.
Last but not least is our new rim the Berserk. The name says it all. A strong high flange
shape makes this rim practically indestructible. It has a gentle mix between a high profile
rim and a straight sidewall rim that gives it that extra sturdiness. Every inch delivers on the
power of simplicity.
With our new addition to the family, Shane Weston and our extensive range of leading
products, 2012 is shaping up nicely for éclat BMX.
