The objective is to establish 3 computer labs including network infrastructure for undergraduate students of Computer<br />
and Software Engineering, computing facilities for Ph.D. research in Electrical and Computer Engineering and wireless<br />
LAN in addition to the existing network facilities. To promote and expand IT base in different facets of Engineering<br />

1.8.3 Up gradation of Research Laboratories of Transportation Engineering in CED at<br />
University of Engg. & Tech, Taxila<br />
The objective of this project is to strengthen lab of Transportation Engineering to provide training and research facilities<br />
in Transportation Engineering knowledge for national and international job market. To provide facilities for studies /<br />
research leading to M.Sc. And Ph.D. degree. To interact with industry in Government and Private sector for meaningful<br />
research/assistance. To provide adequate educated and trained manpower in the field of transportation engineering and a<br />
forum to academicians and practicing engineers to share knowledge in the newly emerging technologies of computer<br />
integrated automation through conference, symposia, workshops and seminars. To conduct research programme in the<br />
lab on test sections covering flexible, semi-rigid and rigid pavements for evaluation of pavement.<br />
