<strong>The</strong> following lots 1781 to 1823 are sold on<br />
behalf <strong>of</strong> the family <strong>of</strong> the late Peter Fry <strong>of</strong><br />
Three Mile Cross near Reading. Peter was a<br />
former engineer with the railway at Reading<br />
and was a founder member <strong>of</strong> Reading<br />
Society <strong>of</strong> Model Engineers and like Gordon<br />
Howell’s locomotives, they were all made to<br />
use rather than just exhibition pieces.<br />

castings and other parts for a 3.5in<br />
gauge tank engine, the drawings<br />
for which were serialised in ‘Model<br />
Engineer 1961’ complete with<br />
relevant copies <strong>of</strong> the publication.<br />
