Place of Sale:
Reading Auction Market, Great Knollys St., Reading, RG1 7HU
Parking:
There is a pay & display car park adjoining the market which is owned and operated by Reading
Borough Council who alone are responsible for the charges levied.
Viewing:
Friday 28 th September 12 noon until 4pm and on the day of sale from 8am.
Conditions of Sale:
The auction will be conducted under the auctioneer’s usual Conditions of Sale which are to be
found at the end of this catalogue. In particular, descriptions and opinions are not guaranteed,
whether made verbally or in writing, including in this catalogue, before or during the day of
sale.
Registration:
All prospective purchasers must register at the auction office on arrival and obtain a bidding
number. Customers unknown to the auctioneers should be prepared to provide satisfactory
proof of identity, ie driving licence/passport.
Payment:
Payment for all lots must be made on the day of sale. Our terms are strictly cash, bank transfer
or debit card, credit cards (subject to a 2% plus VAT surcharge), cheques only accepted from
customers known to us. Our bankers are:

6013399). No clearance of goods will be allowed until such arrangements have been made.
VAT:
VAT is not applicable
Clearance:
All lots should be paid for on the day of sale and removed as soon as possible thereafter.
Purchasers are reminded that while the premises are alarmed, all lots remain at their risk from
the fall of the hammer.
Refreshments:
There is a market café on site.
Commissions to Purchase:
The auctioneers will be please to execute commission bids on receipt of full written instructions
providing prospective purchasers have previously inspected the goods in question.
Buyers Premium:
This sale is run in conjunction with the Reading Monthly General Auction and a buyers’ premium
at the standard rate of 10% plus VAT will apply.
