Charles “Chuck” Bradshaw (MDiv 1992) is in his eleventh year as rector of the Church of Our Father in Hulls Cove, Maine, at the threshold of Acadia National Park. Beth, his wife is active with children’s ministry, children’s music, and private piano lessons. She works with the special education program at the public middle school in Bar Harbor. When they first arrived in Ambridge, their children were ages 3 and 1. Gideon is now completing a 5-year enlistment in the Marine Corps, and Helen is a junior at Harvard. Currently I am working on my dissertation concerning teacher identity in the development of volunteer Sunday School teachers for my EdD at Talbot School of Theology at Biola University. Since stepping down from editing the Anglican Sunday School curriculum for 12 years, I am focusing on my own business, Gold Apple Services (www.GoldAppleServices.com), which provides curriculum development and editorial services. Last year, I was privileged to work with Anglicans for Life on their new adult education series, Project Life. I’ve also been assisting Bishop John Rodgers with his 39 Articles book which is finished and being polished up. Please pray for the right publisher. Along with all that, I am also teaching ESL students with Project Literacy of Howard County Library. Brooke Eaton-Skea (MAR 1992) In 2004, my mother became ill and my husband, Brian, and I left our psychotherapy practice to move to Massachusetts to be with her. At that time, I was a postulant in the process of ordination to the vocational diaconate in the Diocese of Pittsburgh. Since then, I have been working as a pastoral counselor at a residential school for children and youth with developmental disabilities and behavioral problems. I have invited priests, lay and ordained ministers, and rabbis to provide worship services, Periodical Research Help for Alumni Trinity has recently received a three year grant allowing alums access to an online periodical database. I am a member of the Episcopal Church of the Holy Spirit where I serve with the Christian education team. I have also led workshops on lectio divina, mindfulness, and centering prayer. Julia Duin (MAR 1992) Religion Editor, The Washington Times. I’ve been a full-time reporter for 25 years, the last 14 of them with The Washington Times in Washington, DC, where I cover a spectrum of religions. This past year, I did everything from covering the Anglicans meeting in Bedford, Texas, to the historic Lutheran meeting in Minneapolis. I also contribute to Christianity Today’s women’s blog and published books in 2008 (Quitting Church) and 2009 (Days of Fire and Glory: The Rise and Fall of a Charismatic Community). I’m also mom to a little sweetie: Olivia Veronika, 4. Geoff Little (MDiv 1992) Since graduating from Trinity, I have been located in New Haven, Connecticut. I serve as priest-incharge of two inner-city parishes. At St. James, the Lord has raised up an intercultural congregation, with whom we are engaged in Spanishand English-language worship and discipleship. Blanca is the founder and director of St. James’ Christian Academy, an elementary school serving at-risk children and their families. Out of Church of the Ascension, we work alongside Teen Challenge to develop a congregation geared to people and families struggling under the bondage of drug and alcohol addictions. Recently I have taken a leadership position in the initiation of a Young Life ministry in our area. Ministry in city neighborhoods is hard, and the pay is bad, but we love it. Mike Morrissey (MDiv 1992; DMin 2009) After more years than I care to admit, I finally finished the journey to DMin graduation this last spring. Many thanks to the Rev. Dr. Laurie Thompson and Barb Linville – a great editor. It is now 20 years since the miraculous recovery of Penny’s near fatal pericarditis on January 30, 1990. On that day, Trinity stopped class and went to prayer as Penny lay dying at Sewickley Hospital. As the prayer started, her slide to death stopped and held at the precipice long enough (6 hours) for the two cardiac services to determine what was wrong. Trinity manned the ICU waiting room 24 hours a day for over a week. It was a horrible experience that Trinity staff and students helped me through. Penny came home on February 14th (note the day!). She was recalled and deployed to Desert Storm 14 months later. She spent seven months in Saudi Arabia and Bahrain with the Navy. Our daughter Erin continues with Boeing as manager of titanium and aluminum procurement for commercial aircraft production. A Note from the Alumni Relations Office Alumni News In addition to the many great offerings during the June 7-11 week, we are hosting the first-ever “Alumni Adventure Dinner” – just for you! Wednesday Night, June 9th All you have to do is show up – casual! Dinner and the activities are on Trinity. It’s just a small way to encourage you in your ministries, to connect you with one another, and to give you an opportunity to get to know our faculty – all in the spirit of fun and maybe even a little competition. Mark your calendar and send Stevie Glor an e-mail if you can join us (sglor@tsm.edu). In late February I sat in on the Alumni Executive Committee (AEC) conference call. The connectedness of these folks – though years may have passed since they had seen or spoken with one another – was tangible. As each ping signaled a new caller joining the conversation, the Stevie Glor, Alumni Relations Coordinator words and tone spoken to one another clearly marked genuine joy in the fellowship and in the journey. The AEC will meet monthly to generate, motivate, and encourage relationships among Trinity graduates. They also work to recruit new students, actively participate in and initiate development opportunities, and support continuing education at Trinity. In addition, they are key players in planning and conducting Alumni events on campus. As the call came to a close and each signed off, I was reminded once again of our “off-campus” Trinity family, of their passion for the Great Commission, and the way they love one another, as He taught us to love.
