Congresses & Meet<strong>in</strong>g<br />
The promotion of the <strong>Italia</strong>n <strong>ITS</strong> sector at national and <strong>in</strong>ternational level is a strategic mission for<br />
<strong>TTS</strong> <strong>Italia</strong>. For this purpose, s<strong>in</strong>ce its foundation, <strong>TTS</strong> <strong>Italia</strong> has spent big efforts <strong>in</strong> participat<strong>in</strong>g <strong>in</strong><br />
events held both <strong>in</strong> <strong>Italy</strong> and abroad and has also organised workshops and conferences <strong>in</strong> strict<br />
collaboration with its Associates.<br />
In the 2007-2008, <strong>TTS</strong> <strong>Italia</strong> has been <strong>in</strong>volved <strong>in</strong> the follow<strong>in</strong>g events:<br />
14th <strong>ITS</strong> World Congress- Beij<strong>in</strong>g,<br />
October 2007<br />
<strong>TTS</strong> <strong>Italia</strong> attended the 14th <strong>ITS</strong><br />
World Congress held <strong>in</strong> Beij<strong>in</strong>g (Ch<strong>in</strong>a)<br />
from 9th to 13th October 2007. At the<br />
<strong>TTS</strong> <strong>Italia</strong> booth, called “<strong>Italia</strong>n<br />
excellence <strong>in</strong> <strong>ITS</strong>”, <strong>TTS</strong> <strong>Italia</strong> members<br />
Atac, Mizar Automazione, Octo<br />
Telematics and Thetis showed their<br />
<strong>in</strong>novative <strong>ITS</strong> solutions for private and<br />
public urban transport, freight transport<br />
management and <strong>ITS</strong> services for<br />
<strong>in</strong>surance companies. The stand of <strong>TTS</strong><br />
<strong>Italia</strong> also acted as meet<strong>in</strong>g po<strong>in</strong>t for all<br />
the <strong>Italia</strong>n participants attend<strong>in</strong>g the<br />
Congress and for the <strong>Italia</strong>n Trade<br />
Commission <strong>in</strong> Beij<strong>in</strong>g.<br />
Dur<strong>in</strong>g the Congress, <strong>TTS</strong> <strong>Italia</strong> distributed the “<strong>TTS</strong> <strong>Italia</strong> Handbook 2007”, both <strong>in</strong> the English and<br />
Ch<strong>in</strong>ese versions, report<strong>in</strong>g the activities performed <strong>in</strong> 2006-2007 by the Association and a short<br />
description of its members.<br />
Olga Landolfi, <strong>TTS</strong> <strong>Italia</strong> Secretary General, chaired the “Smart Road Information I” session,<br />
dedicated to advanced <strong>in</strong>fomobility applications developed across Europe.<br />
“Telemobility 2007” Convention- Monza, November 2007<br />
<strong>TTS</strong> <strong>Italia</strong> attended with three different papers the Telemobility 2007 Convention, a landmark event<br />
for satellite navigation, <strong>in</strong>fomobility and track<strong>in</strong>g&trac<strong>in</strong>g services. Francesco Mazzone, member of<br />
<strong>TTS</strong> <strong>Italia</strong> Board of Directors, attended as chairman of the “Telematic systems for emergency<br />
services” session.<br />
Francesco Pierri, Infomobility Work<strong>in</strong>g Group Coord<strong>in</strong>ator, took part as well attend<strong>in</strong>g the round table<br />
“Telematic and Infomobility”. Enzo Galdi, Transport and Freight Work<strong>in</strong>g Group Coord<strong>in</strong>ator, held the<br />
paper “Fleet management new borderl<strong>in</strong>e: <strong>in</strong>tegration with the telematics services of the logistic<br />
<strong>in</strong>frastructures”.<br />
