Appendix “A” Move Criteria
(1-800-NAT-HIRE)
For production moves, your longest unbroken seniority date is used for job offers.
For skilled trade’s moves, your longest unbroken trades date in that classification is used for job offers.
An active employee can receive up to 3 offers in each year of the National Agreement.
If you are laid off and refuse an area hire job offer, you will be put on leave of absence without corporate paid benefits.
Under the current UAW/GM National Agreement, you can receive up to $30,000 for a move outside the area hire.
