Through the Years<br />

2000s<br />

Captain Jonathan Allen ’00, former<br />

Employment Counselor at Bishop’s, is<br />

presently deployed within the Kandahar<br />

Provincial Reconstruction Team (KPRT)<br />

for eight months. He is a military<br />

reservist from The Sherbrooke Hussars<br />

and works to establish relationships and<br />

liaise with local nationals and officials<br />

from non-governmental organizations.<br />

Jonathan plans to be home with wife<br />

Julie and children Daysie, 7, Maxim, 3,<br />

and Rayan, 1, in November.<br />

children’s book,<br />

Moon, to life. The renowned group’s<br />

current tour also features a performance<br />

of The Runaway Bunny by the same<br />

author, Margaret Wise Brown. Three<br />

puppeteers from the Mermaid Theatre<br />

met while studying drama at Bishop’s –<br />

Crocker, her fiancé Jesse Maclean ’02<br />

and Robertson.<br />

Jacquelyn Novak ’03 has been<br />

transferred from Deloitte Canada<br />

to Deloitte France. Her role will be<br />

to advance the practice, tap into her<br />

international network, and share best<br />

practices from abroad.<br />

Katie Gallichon ’06 is teaching in<br />

Wemindji, James Bay QC.<br />

Dave Normand ’05 moved to Montreal<br />

after graduation and started a small<br />

business that included high end<br />

residential painting, creating custom<br />

canvas artworks, and illustrations. He<br />

was also hired as an agent and was<br />

involved, as a background performer, in<br />

several major motion pictures filmed in<br />

the Montreal area. He has done a short<br />

film and writes comedy shorts, scripts<br />

and music in his spare time. His latest<br />

and most important advancement is<br />

his graduation from the Centre NAD<br />

in Montreal, where he spent 2008 in<br />

an intensive 3D Animation and Visual<br />

Effects program. He has just finished a<br />

contract as a 3D Animator at Modus FX<br />

on an upcoming television project for the<br />

Discovery Channel.<br />

The <strong>University</strong> of Prince Edward Island<br />

hired Carly Clarke ’06 as the head<br />

coach of its varsity women’s basketball<br />

team. In 2006, Carly was team captain<br />

and team player of the year for Gaiters<br />

women’s basketball. She is currently<br />

working on an MBA from Dalhousie<br />

<strong>University</strong>.<br />
