AS A JUNIOR IN 2008: Recorded a career and school record 282<br />
digs as a junior... became <strong>UC</strong>SD’s all-time career digs leader... recorded<br />
at least 10 digs in 14 different matches... earned All-MPSF<br />
honors for the second consecutive season.<br />
AS A SOPHOMORE IN 2007: Led the MPSF in digs per game<br />
with 2.91 in conference matches... earned second-team All-MPSF<br />
honors... recorded at least 10 digs in 14 matches... recorded a season-high<br />
20 digs against Stanford on February 3... 267 digs set a<br />
<strong>UC</strong>SD single-season record.<br />
AS A FRESHMAN IN 2006: Split time at the libero position with<br />
45 games played... recoreded a perfect 1.000 recpetion percentage<br />
on seven occassions... recorded at least 10 digs in five matches...<br />
recorded a career-best 21 digs and a .977 reception percentage<br />
against Hawai’i on April 7... for the season, tallied 118 digs and<br />
2.62 digs per game.<br />
HIGH SCHOOL: Attended Mira Costa HS... member of the<br />
CIF South Section Finalist volleyball team... team compiled a<br />
33-2 record and won back-to-back Bay League Championships...<br />
member of the Riptides volleyball club for seven years... team<br />
won the 2004 and 2005 Junior Olympic championships.<br />
PERSONAL: Born April 28, 1987... parents are Richard and<br />
Carolyn Leserman... has two siblings named Scott and Ellen... an<br />
Economics major in Muir College... enjoys surfing in his spare<br />

for coaches Tom Pestolesi and Jay Hosack... team earned a State<br />
Championship and Pacific Coast Conference Championship.<br />
HIGH SCHOOL: Attended Otay Ranch HS where the volleyball<br />
team had a best record of 30-3 and advanced to the CIF D-III quarterfinals<br />
in 2005 and the CIF D-I quarterfinals in 2006... named<br />
the 2005 South Bay League Player of the Year, 2006 Mesa League<br />
Player of the Year, 2005 All-DIF D-III, 2006 All-CIF D-I and the<br />
Union Tribune All-<strong>San</strong> <strong>Diego</strong> Team.<br />
PERSONAL: Born September 15, 1987... parents are Reda El-<br />
Rakabawy and Dena Crump... parents are graduates of the University<br />
of Cinncinati... has two siblings named Alliah and Youssif...<br />
a Political Science major in Marshall College... hobbies include<br />
beach volleyball and golf.<br />
