AS A SOPHOMORE IN 2008: Fritsch finished second on the team<br />
with 367 kills and ranks 14th on the career kills list at <strong>UC</strong>SD...<br />
recorded at least 10 kills in 24 matches... notched a career-best<br />
25 kills at Hawaii on January 25... also recorded 21 kills twice<br />
against Pacific... recorded a double-double with 17 kills and 10<br />
digs against Long Beach State.<br />
AS A FRESHMAN IN 2007: Notched 3.00 kills per game with<br />
1.05 digs per game and 0.58 blocks per game... recorded at least 20<br />
kills on two occassions, including 21 kills against Lewis on March<br />
7... notched a double-double with 16 kills and 13 digs against Stanford.<br />
HIGH SCHOOL: Attended Los Gatos HS where he led the<br />
volleyball team with aces, kills and blocks... also played on the<br />
basketball team where he led the team in blocked shots, steals and<br />
rebounds.<br />
PERSONAL: Born October 28, 1988... parents are Frank and<br />
Eileen Fritsch... parents are graduates of Cornell University...<br />
father was a member of the football team while mother was on the<br />
crew team... has an older sibling named Virginia... hobbies include<br />
biking... an Electrical Engineering major in Sixth College.<br />

IRVINE VALLEY COLLEGE: Played two years at Irvine Valley<br />
and won the 2007 and 2008 California Junior College State<br />
Championships... two year team record of 35-5... named the 2007<br />
and 2008 Pacific Coast Conference MVP and the 2008 California<br />
Junior College State MVP... in 2008 hit at a .608 clip in the State<br />
tournament and at a .408 clip for the season.<br />
PERSONAL: Born August 11, 1988... parents are David and Marla<br />
Johnson... father is a Cal State Fullerton graduate while mother<br />
graduated from <strong>UC</strong> Irvine... has a younger sibling named Eric...<br />
uncles Steve and Dan Verbolovich played college and professional<br />
beach volleyball... an Economics major in Sixth College... hobbies<br />
include golf, movies and friends.<br />
HIGH SCHOOL: Attended Foothill HS where the volleyball<br />
team finished third in conference... led the team in kills, digs, aces<br />
and blocks during his senior year... two-time First-Team All Sea<br />
