1. The Entrance Examination will be held by the University at Kolhapur
Centre only. The eligible candidates shall have to apply for the Entrance
Examination before the dates prescribed
2. The Entrance Examination will be held in the month of June.
3. The application form shall have to be submitted directly to the University
along with the examination fee Rs. 300/-.
4. The question-paper for each subject will carry 100 marks and will be of 3
hours duration.
5. Candidates securing not less than 45% of marks in the Entrance
Examination will be held eligible to take admission to M.A. course in the
subject.
6. A. candidate, intending to appear for the M.A. examination through
Distance Education mode after passing the Entrance Examination, shall
have to register his/her name with the Centre for Distance Education
before the prescribed dates.
7. i) A candidate, passing the Entrance Examination in a subject, shall be
allowed only to offer the same subject at his/her M.A. Examination.
ii) If a candidate is desirous to appear for the M.A. examination with
change in subject he/she is required to pass the M.A. Entrance
Examination in that particular subject again and then only he/she can avail
of the facility of Regulation M.A.6.
iii) A candidate shall have to offer only one subject for the Entrance
Examination.

8. A candidate will have to give option of answering question in any of the
subjects other than Languages, either in Marathi or in English.
9. A candidate, who desires to appear for M.A. examination through
Distance Mode after passing the Entrance Examination, is required to
satisfy the rules and conditions laid down for Distance Education
registration.
10. A candidate, who desires to appear for the M.A. Distance Education,
examination shall have to select only those subjects for which teaching is
provided to the regular students of this university and for which practical
work is not required.
11. A candidate, who has passed B.Com examination need not give the
Entrance Examination for admission to M.A. Economics subject only.
12. A candidate has to abide by these conditions as well as the instructions
given here.
