Nevada Medical Center, Las Vegas, NV; Reno VA Medical Center, Reno, NV; Washoe<br />
Regional Medical Center, Reno, NV; the Naval Medical Center, San Diego, CA; and Magic<br />
Valley Regional Medical Center, Twin Falls, ID. This group <strong>of</strong> individuals exemplifies the<br />
best in pharmacy education and practice on a daily basis. Moreover, they have contributed<br />
significantly and positively to the clinical clerkship program for many years. Finally,<br />
recognition is due to departmental secretaries Ms. Sharlene Hetrick and Ms. Chris Marenda.<br />
Their extraordinary skill and abilities in managing the myriad <strong>of</strong> details each day never ceases<br />
to amaze me. I thank all <strong>of</strong> you for your dedication and devotion to the college and our<br />
students. Your efforts are essential to our success.<br />
I am extremely proud <strong>of</strong> the department’s record <strong>of</strong> accomplishments, and am again<br />
honored to have served as chair. Perhaps most importantly, however, I believe the future<br />
holds great promise and many opportunities. I look forward to reporting even greater<br />
accomplishments next year!<br />

LOTT RECEIVES ISU HONOR FOR<br />
PUBLIC SERVICE<br />
Dr. Rex Lott was honored with the <strong>Idaho</strong> <strong>State</strong> <strong>University</strong><br />
Distiniguished Public Service Award during Commencement<br />
ceremonies May 13. This prestigious award is given each year to one<br />
faculty member that provides exceptional service to the community,<br />
university and/or discipline with which they are affiliated. Specifically, Dr. Lott was honored<br />
for his committment to treating psychiatric disorders, developmental disabilities and<br />
epilepsy; correcting public misunderstandings about these conditions; and providing<br />
information for both those affected and their health care providers. Lott teaches in the<br />
Department <strong>of</strong> <strong>Pharmacy</strong> Practice and Administrative Sciences in Boise, where his service<br />
work helps give ISU a strong visible presence. He has served on the advisory board <strong>of</strong> the<br />
Epilepsy Foundation <strong>of</strong> <strong>Idaho</strong>, for which he has helped organize annual education<br />
programs throughout <strong>Idaho</strong>.<br />
