Investor Growth Capital (IGC) and Accel Partners have invested €10m in Swedish software provider<br />

Telepo AB. <strong>The</strong> investment is IGC’s first round of funding for the company, while Accel injected €4m<br />

in October 2006.<br />

<strong>The</strong> equity provided by each investor <strong>has</strong> not been disclosed, although the transaction was led by IGC.<br />

<strong>The</strong> investors hold a significant stake in the company.<br />

IGC was attracted to the company because it believes it offers a unique product in a market that is set to<br />

grow. Accel felt the company had progressed since its first investment and made a follow-on investment<br />

to solidify its stake in the company. <strong>The</strong> capital injection will support a geographical expansion.<br />

Telepo AB specialises in providing software for enterprise mobility and solutions for small to large<br />

businesses and service providers. <strong>The</strong> company is headquartered in Stockholm and was founded<br />

in 2004.<br />

Mikael Johnsson managed the deal for IGC and will join the company’s board of directors. Martin<br />

Gibson and Kevin Comolli represented Accel.<br />

ALMI and Wingefors invest SEK 2m in I Read<br />

Transaction<br />

ALMI Invest and Wingefors Invest have provided SEK 2m for I Read <strong>new</strong> media AB, which provides<br />

digital journals through Paperton.com.<br />

<strong>The</strong> funding was split equally between the two investors, and capital from ALMI was provided through<br />

the ALMI Invest Västsverige fund.<br />

<strong>The</strong> investment was made after the company contacted the backers about potential funding for its<br />

continued expansion. ALMI and Wingefors were attracted to the deal because they believe there is<br />

strong growth potential in the market and that the company <strong>has</strong> strong management.<br />

<strong>The</strong> investment will support the development and marketing of the company, as well as an increase in<br />

the workforce.<br />

I Read operates the website Paperton.com, which provides journals and magazines in digital format.<br />

<strong>The</strong> company was founded in 2009, employs eight people and is based in Karlstad.<br />

Ulf Green from ALMI will join the company’s board of directors.<br />
