Day 1 Singapore – Istanbul<br />

(Meals on Board)<br />

Assemble at Singapore <strong>Chan</strong>gi Airport for<br />

your flight to Istanbul.<br />

Day 2 Istanbul – safranbolu<br />

(Meals on Board/Lunch/Dinner)<br />

Upon arrival in Istanbul, transfer to<br />

Safranbolu, a town famous for its distinctive<br />

old Ottoman houses in <strong>Turkey</strong>, for which<br />

the town has been designated as a UNESCO<br />

World <strong>Heritage</strong> Site. After lunch at a local<br />

wooden house, visit the Kaymakam Evi,<br />

local food bazaar, Safranbolu citadel and<br />

a Turkish bath.<br />

Day 3 safranbolu – ankara<br />

– cappadocia<br />

(Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)<br />

After breakfast, depart for Ankara, capital<br />

of <strong>Turkey</strong>. Visit Ataturk Mausoleum, the<br />

final resting place of Mustafa Kemal Ataturk,<br />

who was regarded as the father of modern<br />

<strong>Turkey</strong>. The mausoleum features a mix of<br />

different architectural styles from various<br />

Anatolian civilizations. Thereafter, proceed<br />

to Cappadocia for your overnight stay.<br />

Day 4 Cappadocia<br />

(Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)<br />

Enjoy a full–day tour of Cappadocia, which<br />

boasts a unique landscape sculpted by the<br />

wind, sun, rain and snow. Explore Kaymakli<br />

Underground City, one of the largest<br />

underground cities here, said to have existed<br />

since the Hittite period. Explore Goreme<br />

Open Air Museum, a compound comprising<br />

29 rock–cut churches, including some that<br />

date back to the 6th century. Then, proceed<br />

to Uchisar, an old village comprising small<br />

dwellings carved into a massive rock. If time<br />

permits, you can visit one of the homes in the<br />

contemporary village. After, visit a carpet<br />

factory and showroom to see a carpet–<br />

weaving demonstration to learn more about<br />

the art of weaving Turkish carpets.<br />

Day 5 cappadocia – Konya –<br />

pamukkale<br />

(Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)<br />

Today, travel to Konya, the famous old<br />

capital of the Selcuk Turks. Visit the<br />

13th–century Sultanhani Caravanserai,<br />

which was a hotel for ancient traders and<br />

travellers. After lunch, journey to the<br />

central Anatolia region of Pamukkale,<br />

where you will be amazed by one of the<br />

most fantastic and beautiful landscapes in<br />

the world. <strong>Tour</strong> the ruins of the ancient city<br />

of Hierapolis and explore Cotton Castle,<br />

a UNESCO World <strong>Heritage</strong> Site, made up of<br />

fascinating white terraces and pools created<br />

by calcareous hot spring waters flowing<br />

down the mountain. After dinner, you may<br />

wish to enjoy an authentic thermal bath at<br />

your own expense.<br />

Day 6 pamukkale – Selcuk –<br />

kusadasi<br />

(Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)<br />

Set off for Selcuk where you will explore<br />

Ephesus, one of the largest archaeological<br />

sites in existence. You will find awesome<br />

structures such as the Library of Celsius,<br />

Hadrian Temple, Marble Street and Agora.<br />

Ephesus is also one of the 7 Churches of<br />

Revelation and holds the House of Virgin<br />

Mary. Virgin Mary and St John were said<br />

to have lived in Ephesus and died here.<br />

Thereafter, continue to Kusadasi to visit a<br />

Turkish leather showroom.<br />

Day 7 kusadasi – pergamon<br />

– TROY – Canakkale<br />

(Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)<br />

After breakfast, continue on your journey<br />

to the ancient city of Pergamon. <strong>Tour</strong> the<br />

Acropolis, an architectural masterpiece<br />

that is perched on the city’s highest point.<br />

The fascinating sites here include the Altar<br />

of Zeus, Temple of Athena and Temple of<br />

Trojan. After lunch, visit the ruins of Troy.<br />

Here, you will be greeted by the huge replica<br />

of a wooden Trojan horse, a vivid reminder<br />

of the ancient Trojan War. Troy was a city that<br />

dated from 3000 BC to the birth of Christ<br />

and was the site of 9 layers of settlement,<br />

with each built upon the preceding one.<br />

The city was made famous by Homer’s epic<br />

poem Iliad and Odyssey. Thereafter, enjoy a<br />

leisure drive along the coast to Canakkale.<br />

Day 8 canakkale – Istanbul<br />

Today, continue our journey to Istanbul.<br />

Upon arrival, visit Topkapi Palace, once<br />

the seat of the Ottoman Empire. Presently,<br />

it is a museum palace with a wide collection<br />

of porcelain, antiques, holy relics and other<br />

treasures. Visit Blue Mosque, also known<br />

as Mosque of Sultan Ahmet, which boasts<br />

a unique feature of 6 minarets. View its<br />

glorious interiors and distinctive blue tiles.<br />

Next, view the only remains of Hippodrome<br />

of Constantinople, which consists of<br />

3 monumental columns and a fountain. This<br />

is where chariot races took place in the<br />

past. Then, visit Hagia Sophia Museum,<br />

a must–see attraction because of its<br />

religious and architectural significance.<br />

After lunch, you can shop at the 500–year–<br />

old Grand Bazaar, a maze of over 4,000<br />

stalls and shops selling leather goods,<br />

jewellery, handicrafts, ceramics, Turkish<br />

coffee and other local products. Tonight,<br />

complete your evening with a belly and<br />

folk dance performance.<br />
